HOT FLASH™ was born from a longing for queer nightlife that doesn't revolve around alcohol, scrolling our phones, or staying out until 2 a.m.
It's an early evening dance party created for grown sapphics and FLINTA* folks who still love to move, connect, and celebrate life—but also appreciate being home before bedtime. (FLINTA* stands for Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, and Agender people.)
This isn't just a dance party. It's a liberation ritual.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
An Intentional DJ Journey
This isn't a random playlist or a night of disconnected songs. Every HOT FLASH set is intentionally crafted by DJ VÖLKANA as a sonic journey—building from playful connection into sweaty liberation, weaving together primal rhythms, high-impact bass house, queer classics, techno fire & pop remixes that keep your body moving from beginning to end. Doors at 6:30pm, we begin the 90 minute dance journey at 7 followed by sacred connection!
Screen & Drink Free Dance Floor
The dance floor is a sacred screen & drink free space. We invite you to put your phone away, set down your beverage, look up, make eye contact, smile at a stranger, dance with your friends, flirt if the moment is right, keep talking to a minimum and experience the rare magic of being completely present. Outside the dance floor and our sonic journey, you're welcome to capture memories & sip—but while we're dancing, let's get SWEATY together!
Zero F*cks Dancefloor
This is DJ VÖLKANA's signature permission giving sacred space. Dance your way, wild and free. No choreography. No performance. No pressure to look a certain way or move a certain way. Whether you're dancing wildly, swaying gently, jumping, shimmying, or simply taking it all in, your body is welcome exactly as it is. HOT FLASH™ is about rediscovering the joy of moving because it feels good, and there's no way you can do it wrong!
Dress to Express
HOT FLASH was created for those of us who refuse to believe our most vibrant years are behind us. This is your excuse to wear the outfit that's been hanging in your closet waiting for the right occasion. Sequins, leather, vintage glam, bold prints, sneakers, boots, tuxedos, lipstick, glitter—or your favorite worn-in T-shirt. Come dressed for joy. Come dressed for yourself. Come exactly as you are.

Choose which ticket level is possible for you in this moment. There are three different levels to choose from. The Regenerative Ticket is the baseline cost of the event. The Abundant level ticket is a way to pay it forward to someone in need of a Restorative level Ticket.

VÖLKANA (a.k.a. Lainie Love Dalby) is a shamanic, sonic & somatic ceremonialist devoted to personal & global transformation through ending the violence against the body & the sacred feminine. As an international sapphic producer, vocalist & DJ, she’s a volcanic force who doesn’t drop beats; she detonates blocks.
Her initiatory sets blend primal rhythms, high-impact bass house, techno fire & pop to awaken life-force, and birth new levels of becoming through trance dance.
She delivers a subwoofer wake-up call & deep healing simultaneously.
With over two decades of indigenous elder apprenticeship, she’s moved from pulpit, to dungeon, to gallery, to global stage as an Interfaith Minister, Dominatrix, performance artist and leadership mentor.
Her signature sober, screen-free morning Spirit Raves™ are her dance church, midwifing metamorphosis & reconnection through sound.
HOT FLASH™, is her early evening grown sapphic dance party for 35 + where midlife gets wild and LIBERATED AS F*CK, queer joy takes center stage, and the dance floor becomes a space of unapologetic embodiment & sacred reconnection.
Sacred Sweat™ is her method — an embodied liberation ritual & zero fucks dancefloor where you sweat the patriarchy out your pores, shake loose shame & dismantle people pleaser programming. No performance. No perfection. No distraction. It’s a full permission space where chains fall, masks crack, and your wild essence takes up space, unapologetic AF.
